Derbyshire Swift Conservation

“Swifts have declined across the UK by over 60% in the past 25 years, making them a red-listed bird of conservation concern. Visit our stand to learn more about why Swifts are declining so quickly, what can be done about this and find out how you can help us slow and hopefully reverse this trend in Derbyshire. We will have examples of nest boxes and bricks and can provide advice on where and how to get them installed. Also, there will be plenty of information leaflets, flatpack boxes for sale and free badges for the kids…. “

Derbyshire Bat Conservation Group

Bats have complex habitat needs, including roosts, feeding areas, hibernacula and the surrounding environment. They are both fascinating and difficult to fathom, however we can all help them. Please drop by to find out how to help bats in your gardens and what to do if you find a bat outside during the day. Children can make a batty crown or flappy bat. We look forward to seeing you.
